Academic representation is vitally important to the University! Our reps help to ensure that each and every student in the University of Exeter can influence the way their degree is taught. It’s the job of course reps to act as a link between students and staff, helping to make sure that their voice is heard on all academic issues.

All I ask of our representatives is that you bring enthusiasm and passion to the role, giving one hundred percent to represent the views of other students. Don’t be afraid to challenge departments if there is something which can be improved upon, gather relevant evidence to augment your case and fight hard to make changes which will benefit you peers. Finally, remember that you also need to accentuate the positive! The University of Exeter is home to some incredible staff and we also like our reps to recognise the good things which they do.

On this website, you should find lots of information about how the academic representation system works and some useful tips for being a successful rep. If you have any further questions or if you want to talk about academic representation more generally, then please don’t hesitate to contact me!
