Whether you're new to the Students' Guild or a grizzled elections veteran, in this section of the Website you will find information about how the Students' Guild represents you, how we are run and how you can get involved at every level of the decision making processes.
Please select a section below to find out more about how we work.
Academic Representation - The Students' Guild is here to make sure you have a good experience while studying at Exeter. If you have any problems along the way then we'll help to represent your views to seek a good resolution for you.
Sabbatical Officers - Every year thousands of students come together to vote for who they want to run their Guild over the coming year. These students become full-time employees of the Guild who are here to listen to your views and to represent you on any issues that you have while at University. Elections - The Guild is a member-led organisation, which means that it's the students that make decisions about how we are run and what we do. In this section you can find out more about how our elections are run and how you can get involved.
General Meetings - We hold a number of General Meetings throughout the year. All students are invited not only to attend these meetings but to submit motions to the meeting. If voted in, these motions become policy taht determine how the Guild should operate.
Student Representatives - A number of Student Representatives have been elected to ensure that the Guild can hear the views of as many students as possible and represent those views to the University or other bodies. You can always get in touch with your reps and they will be glad to help you in any way that they can.
Policy Book & Governing Documents - The Policy Book and Governing Documents detail how the Guild should be run and often make a statement about the Guild's current stance on affairs. Any student can take policy suggestions to General Meetings which are then debated and voted upon. You can also suggest changes to the Constitution and Annexes in the same way.
