Societies are probably the best way to fill your time, make friends and develop skills that you probably didn't know you had. Over 8,000 students join a society each year and there are over 150 of them.

Event Tickets

You can buy tickets for all the student nights at The Lemon Grove through our online store. Exclusive to Freshers’ Week, you can also purchase a wristband that will give you access to every event between September 15th and 22nd, as well as a range of discounts in a selection of our bars and cafes on campus.

Freshers' Events

As well as having an event each night in the Lemon Grove during Freshers’ Week, there are daily events throughout the week organised by Exeter’s many clubs and societies. Whatever your interests, with over 170 clubs and societies on campus, there is really something for everyone. Find out more by heading to our events calendar

Deals & Freebies

So you can save money while you’re at Exeter, we’re providing students with a whole range of deals. This includes:
The Black Card – With this you can get free entry to The Lemon Grove every Saturday, as well as discounted drinks at The Ram Bar and Lemon Grove.
Stage Coach Bus Passes – Both affordable and practical, a Unirider pass will enable you to travel cheaply across the South West.
The NUS Extra Card – Provides students with various discounts from a number of shops and online retailers.
The Excess Card – Gives students deals and discounts specific to Exeter.
Local Football and Nightclubs – The Guild have teamed up Exeter City FC so you can watch their games at a discounted rate. We also have deals with nightclubs such as Mosaic and our very own Guild night for students every Tuesday.

Student Democracy

If you’re a fresher and want to get involved in student democracy, then the best place to start is being part of a Hall Committee. There are also a range of other posts available, all which offer valuable introductions into student leadership at Exeter, and which every student can vote in.
